Western Australian sheep producers and processors can now apply for funding under the $40 million Supply Chain Capacity Program – part of the Albanese Labor Government’s $139.7 million Sheep Industry Transition Assistance Package.
- Grants of up to $2 million for producers to invest in on-farm finishing systems.
- Grants of up to $5 million for processors to boost supply chain capacity.
- Applications close 5pm, 22 October 2025.
The program, administered by the Rural Business Development Corporation, will fund capital works to increase supply chain efficiency, productivity, and resilience. Funding will be released through two competitive rounds of $20 million each, ensuring long-term benefits for WA’s sheep industry.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible businesses include:
- Sheep producers
- Processors and abattoirs
- Feedlot operators
- Infrastructure providers (cold storage, lairage facilities, etc.)
Applicants must demonstrate co-contributions to be eligible.
