🌿 The Morangup Gardening Group is in full bloom again! We meet on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 10:00am at the Morangup Community Centre on Wallaby Way.
Our Next Meetup Date and Time:
🗓️ Sunday 12 October 2025 – 10:00 AM
📍 Morangup Community Centre, Wallaby Way
Everyone’s welcome. Bring something or bring nothing — we’ll still make space for you.
This rural tradition first sprouted on a local group community group, and like any great garden, it's been through seasons — but the soil’s still good, and the company even better.
“We share whatever we have—seeds, extra produce, cuttings, and laughs. No stress, no pressure. Just neighbours having a go and giving what they can.”
– Andrea Trout & Kat Morgan
Garden Guests & Tips
From time to time, a local qualified horticulturalist joins us to share knowledge on seasonal planting, soil prep, pest control, and water-wise gardening. It’s informal — bring your questions or just soak it all in with a thermos in hand.
Whether you're new to gardening or a seasoned green thumb, there's always a place at the table. Bring a chair, a cuppa, and something light to share if you can.
- 🌱 Bring seeds, seedlings, produce, jars, or just your curiosity
- 🪑 Chair + your favourite mug = sorted
- ☕ Morning tea table always welcomes a small plate
- 🎁 Monthly “Pick the Lucky Number” giveaway
- 💬 Covered verandah for garden yarns and misty mornings
Upcoming 2025 Garden Meetups:
- 📅 12 October 2025
- 📅 9 November 2025
- 📅 14 December 2025
“We believe gardening is about more than plants — it’s about growing community, sharing knowledge, and leaving the gossip at the gate.”
– Morangup Gardening Group
Ideas We're Growing
- 🛠️ Garden tool library or seed swap corner
- 🌾 “Plot of the Month” photo showcase
- 🎓 Mini workshops — compost tea, worm farms, etc.
- 🤝 Collaborations with groups like CWA, Silver Chain, SES, MVBFB, Ambos or Men’s Shed
It might just be a humble Sunday gathering — but it’s a real lifeline. A space to grow, connect, and laugh with neighbours in a world that moves too fast.
